What is the difference between original, compatible and remanufactured cartridges?

An original cartridge is a cartridge which has been manufactured by the same company that made the printer. Original cartridge cost more than compatible or remanufactured cartridge.

A compatible cartridge is a brand new cartridge which has been manufactured by a company other than the printer manufacturer. Compatible cartridge cost a lot less than original cartridge.

A remanufactured cartridge is an original cartridge which has been recycled. An original cartridge which is empty has been returned, professionally cleaned, refilled to the maximum, tested and packaged for resale.

How many pages will be printed with compatible or remanufactured cartridges?

It is hard to say exact number of pages, as there are many different aspects to consider such as:

  • What is being printed?
    Photos, text or both
  • What level of quality is being used?
    Draft or best

Original cartridges are pre-programmed to only print a certain amount of pages before the ink cartridge needs to be replaced, regardless of how much ink is still in the cartridge. All our cartridges will print until the ink cartridge is empty.

Will I get the same number of printed pages from a compatible or remanufactured cartridge as an original cartridge?

Yes, you will get at least the same number of printed pages from a compatible or remanufactured cartridges as you will get from original cartridges.

Why should I buy compatible or remanufactured cartridges from you?

Our exclusive range of compatible cartridges offer you up to 80% savings from the manufacturers own brand of cartridge without compromising on quality. These cartridges are made under ISO9001 quality standards to assure printing performance equal or exceed that of the original equipment manufacturers. The cartridges are filled with highest quality ink from USA to their maximum capacity to keep cost of printing down and give you the perfect result for your prints. Also as a remanufactured cartridge has been recycled it reduces the amount of waste going to landfill.

Will using a compatible cartridges void my warranty?

No, customers have the right to choose the brand of ink they want to use and your warranty service cannot be refused, unless there is a proof that the compatible cartridge has damaged the printer. Incident where a customer`s warranty was voided has not been recorded at Top Cartridge Limited. Major printer manufacturers advice their customers against the use of compatible ink cartridges. It is actually against the law to prevent any customer from using cartridges from other sources than the original manufacturer.
